More than ever, we are seeing custom requests and orders that are truly a mixed bag of different styles. Nothing over the top, but we do notice that most clients are leaning towards mixing a few different styles all in one piece
BWD is already known for our interpretation of traditional farm tables with a fine finish, since that is our specialty, but more often than not, the clients are looking for that classic look up top, breadboards and all, with a not so classic base. Like the picture above, we took Rustic Black Walnut lumber and created a one of a kind top, then set that top on steel A-frame legs finished flat black. Definitely a little twist from the traditional handmade trestle bases or even 4 leg table of old, but tradition or not, these hybrid style tables are beautiful. They mix that industrial modern steampunk look with the classic fine finish everyone is used to and boom, Rustic with a touch of modern.
